LaVar Ball gave his long-time handyman a brand new truck and a full-time job

  • Thu, 14 Sep 2017 09:42

This is such a great moment caught on video.

LaVar Ball has created as many headlines this year as anyone else in the sports world, but it usually hasn’t been something like this. On Wednesday, one video was shared through social media platforms of Ball gifting his handyman a new truck.

The man is Felipe, who has been a handyman for LaVar for 15 years, according to ESPN. Per their story, he had been struggling with an older car that had a failing transmission and was preventing him from making it to his full-time job reliably. That’s when Ball stepped in, buying him a new pickup truck.

“It's just something I did for him. He's been working a long time trying to make ends meet. That car ain't gonna get him from place to place. Now he has a car that can get him from Point A to Point B,” Ball told ESPN.

Maybe even more significantly, Ball also gave Felipe a full-time job as a property manager for the Big Baller Brand, per ESPN.

People think all sorts of things about the Balls for all sorts of reasons, but this is an objectively great gesture towards someone who needed the help. Kudos to LaVar, and congratulations to Felipe. - All Posts
